2022 Housing Affordability Report - Permit Year 2021: Wisconsin Act 243 was established in 2017 which subsequently created Wis. Stats., 66.10013: Housing Affordability Report and 66.10014: New Housing Fee Report. Act 243 applies to those communities with a population of 10,000 or more. These communities are required to create the report(s), post them on the municipal website, and provide copies to each member of the governing body within the municipality. The Housing Affordability Report includes all the required components of Wis. Stats., 66.10013 and 66.10014. Additionally, there is supplemental information associated to housing trends and population statistics included within the report to provide additional context related to the housing market and fees. Although there is much more information that could be included in this report, the main purpose of the report is to satisfy the requirements of State Statute. Some of the data included in the report (as noted) are derived from U.S Census Bureau: American Community Survey data estimates, therefore there will be some margin of error in the demographic data.
