SUBJECT: Rehabilitation of Village of Plover Streets “2023”
The Village of Plover will be rehabilitating your street in 2023.
The rehabilitation project for your street consists of an asphalt overlay. This will involve installing a new layer of asphalt approximately 1.5 to 2 inches in depth. The contractor will saw cut and remove or grind a strip of asphalt/concrete approximately 1-3 feet wide for the width of all driveways. This will be the blend point with the new asphalt of the street. Concrete curb radii may be installed at intersections on parts of the overlay projects.
In conjunction with the street rehabilitation, the Public Works Department will trim and remove trees/shrubbery within the street right-of-way where street encroachments exist. Vision obstructions at intersections will also be addressed at this time.
The Public Works Department will work with the Postal Service to relocate your mailbox if needed. The Village of Plover is not responsible for any damage to mail box support posts if a relocate is required. If the support post is found to be non-compliant per the Village ordinance the property owner is responsible for replacement, and to bring this support post into compliance with current VOP ordinances.
The final step to the rehabilitation project will involve applying a recycled gravel shoulder to both edges of the new asphalt.
The Village will make every effort to keep these streets open to traffic during this project. There may be times, however, that we will need to close streets for a few hours. During periods of street closure, you will need to take alternate routes to and from your residence and may not be able to park in your driveway. You will be allowed to park on adjacent streets while this work is being done. If you or a family member has special needs, please contact the Public Works Department so that the Village can make special arrangements for you.
During construction please do not allow children to play in the areas where work is being performed!
